| The archetypal Mk 1 Transmuter boot, limited edition from 100% vegan materials and with additional rear zip for easy on/off.
Transmuters are cleverly-conceived knee-high boots on stacked soles with attachment points for a wide variety of panels and tongues. Transmuters can have their appearance changed in a few moments by removing one set of panels and replacing them with another. Go from purple glitter to pink spikes in an instant, and completely alter the look of your boots.
Please Note:The panels (shown fitted to boots) must be bought in addition to the Transmuters themselves. Choose either a LIFT or Elevator Transmuter to start with, then add panels as you need.

FAQ:
What is the difference between the original Mk1 and the Limited Edition Mk1 Transmuter?
The Limited Edition Transmuter FW123 is identical to the original FW120, except that:
- The FW123 is all-vegan construction; it is not available in leather. The FW120 was only available in leathers.
- The FW123 has a heavy duty black zip at the rear which makes it much faster to take the boots on and off.
-
The FW123 has an altered structure at the heel which prevents the (rare) instances of the soles coming away from the boot that the early FW120s suffered from.
Can you get these boots in other sizes and how long would they take?
DemonicArts can get these boots in many sizes! Our manufacturers can take up to 5 weeks for these boots to be fully complete and in our hands to send to you. Because these take so long we only charge 50% of the order when placed and will ask for the second 50% when we have the boots ready for you.
Why are they 'Limited Edition'?
The Stranger Ltd. will only be manufacturing a fixed number of these; the supply will not be 'unlimited' therefore.
Do the Limited Edition boots suffer from the same design flaws as the originals?
Most of the design flaws with the original Transmuters were fixed with the The Stranger Mk1 version (the FW120s). This included problems of heel separation, tongue panels not staying in place, and the screw inserts for the panels falling out of the soles. The FW123s feature additional changes to further reduce the risk of heel separation.
What sizes are the Limited Edition boots available in?
UK Sizes 6, 7, 8 and 9 only. These are the 'factory labelled' sizes, but like all Transmuters, the Limited Edition version runs small. We would advise all customers to add one to their normal shoe size when ordering. So, the boots are really available for feet that are UK sizes 5 thru 8, US Female sizes 7 thru 10, and European sizes 38 thru 42.
Will other sizes apart from (factory) 6, 7, 8, 9 be available in the future?
This is something that we may consider at a later date, but there are no facilities to make the boots outside these sizes at the moment.
Will the Limited Edition boots be available on the flat Elevator sole as well as the raised Lift sole?
No. Only the raised Lift sole will be available.
Will my existing Mk1 panels fit the Limited Edition boots?
Yes. Any panels purchased for the original FW120 boots will fit the FW123s
Will there be any new panels for Transmuters?
The Stranger plans to release some new panel designs in the near future, yes. The first of these are planned for early 2006.
I would like to pre-order Transmuters but cannot afford to pay for them yet. Is there anything I can do?
DemonicArts only needs 50% of the order when the order is placed! A second payment of the remaining 50% will be needed before the boots are shipped to you.
Can I use Paypal to pre-order Transmuters?
Yes, but as above, we will not request the whole payment ( only the 50%) until the boots are ready to ship. On the order form, enter 'PAYPAL' into the credit card number field, and again in the card expiry date field. |
